Hey Everyone!

It has been a very eventful and fruitful break... For those of you who do not know what has been going on, it has been a very difficult time for the band. Life and distance seems to get in the way of most things. Life because we are all very busy at school and in our own personal lives. Distance because it is almost impossible for us to get together while school is in session. As of November, the future of the band was relatively unclear. As of now, after a few talks over break, we have decided to continue on through the summer; then we'll evaluate where we are when we cross that short, close, and possibly depressing bridge.

On a brighter note, over break we decided to re-record some of the favorites off of Forever Tomorrow to bring them up to the standards set by the EP- MMVII. We re-tracked Wayside, Prodigal, Face to Face, Victim, and In All You Do. Unfortunately, the new-old stuff has set a new precedent, and we're going to re-mix the EP. To say this stuff sounds amazing would simply be an understatement. The remastered material should be complete by Valintines Day. We're not sure what we are going to do with it, but we'll let you know.

Also, we have some shows coming up! We will be playing in a Battle of the Bands at Graffiti Music Hall in Arden on March 2! There will be other great artists there, and the show begins at 4 and goes to 10PM. Also, we will be returning to the Asheville Arts Center on Good Friday, March 21, for a great show. Opening artist(s) will be announced soon so check back on here or the Myspace for details!

Hey Benson Fans!

School is finally over (for most of us). Some weird people that go to State and high school are still in the heat of finals though. Christmas break is finally hear and to be honest...we don't really know what we're doing. Writing for a new album, doing some new recordings, demo-ing, fooling around, podcasting......they will definitely be in the mix.

As you can see we changed the site up a bit for the Holiday Season. We have some new additions. For one, a new podcast which will shortly be up. We also finished up our acoustic EP which is available for free download on our 'media' page. Check them out!

We are sorry to announce that we will not be doing any shows over break. The band is in a process of figuring out it's future. It's a difficult time for all of us, but we'll get through it and let you guys know whats going on. Long Live Benson! (tonight).

Wow it has been forever since anyone of us has been able to get on here and update some stuff. School does a wonderful job of getting in the way of rock. It's most unfortunate. As of right now, we're all writing some new stuff, demo-ing and sending things back and forth (the usually process while we're at school). We looking forward to Thanksgiving break next week to continue the rock and to practice up on some stuff since we've been out of commission since early August. Hopefully we'll have the new acoustic EP mixed and ready for some free downloads by next week as well. We'll let you know. That's Coxey's department. If they're not ready, we'll be sure to chastise him appropriately.

We're also planning for Christmas break. Shows and maybe some new demos are certainly in the mix of things. We have some new ideas that we're planning to put into the set, so be sure to come out to a show or two, because they'll be the best yet for sure.

We'll keep you posted on whats going on. I'm sure a new podcast will arise soon....

I actually updated the page! It's funny how school happens right around August and all the important B4B stuff doesn't happen. New podcasts are posted, and new songs are on the Myspace! We're working on details for upcoming shows, so stay tuned!

WOW...What a wonderful way to end the summer. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Asheville Arts Center last Thursday night for an amazing show. We had a packed house which was awesome in-and-of itself. Jeremiah Satterfield did a wonderful job and we'll be sure to get him in on some shows in the future. Other than some issues we had with Mat's bass, the show was definitely one of our best and one to remember.

The EP is now available and you can purchase it in our new store. We hope you enjoy it and we're sorry for all the delays getting it out. You can listen to the majority of the songs on our Myspace profile as well. Have a listen and let us know what you think!

This summer has been an amazing experience for all of us. We've grown a lot in many aspects as a band. We'll keep you updated on upcoming dates for shows, recording, etc... Thanks to everyone for your continued love and support. We really appreciate everything you guys have done, and we wouldn't be where we are or who we are without you!

Hey Guys!!!! Just a little reminder that we have our last show of summer 07' on August 9th at the Asheville Arts Center! Show starts at 7 PM and we'll be releasing our brand new EP at the show! Please come out for a very special night with us! We'll be recording audio/video for the whole show, so if you want to be on the next podcast and future dvd, come on out and make yourself heard (and shown for that matter)!!!!

ALSO-THIS JUST IN!!!

We have decided to put together a little acoustic EP of some acoustic arrangements of a few of our/your favorite songs! We'll be recording the whole thing live within the next few days or so, so expect it available for download sometime after the show! Just for you guys! More to come...

Oh how busy we've been... We just finished up our big lineup of shows and needless to say, enjoying the break that followed. The Hickory and Johnson City shows were amazing; we had a really fun time and we thank everyone that came out and supported us. A big shout out to the Sanfords who were willing to open their hearts and home to us. Thanks so much for everything that you have done for us.

The July 4th show in Downtown Asheville also went well. Things were a bit rushed and we had some issues with the monitoring, but overall it was a decent show. The turnout was great, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.

Update on the EP: We had some computer malfunctions which unfortunately delayed a lot of the mixing. To compensate we released a cd of some demo versions of everything on the 4th. The problem has since been fixed, we are hurrying up the mixing, and we will have that out to you guys very soon. Thanks for your patience. We promise it will be worth the wait.

We have been busy podcasting and there are two fairly new ones up if you haven't checked them out already. Many more are on the way. We are working out scheduling a few more acoustic shows and finalizing the Asheville Arts Center details before the summer comes to a close. Keep checking back for details (including a HUGE announcement at the end of the summer concerning the future of B4B)!

Well kiddies....recording the new EP has finally come to a close after 8 or so months (on and off). We are mixing and mastering the EP this week and it is something we are truly proud of. It blows the album out of the water and we hope you guys really enjoy it. WE ARE RELEASING IT ON JULY 4th AT OUR ASHEVILLE SHOW!!! So please come out and get a copy; we'd love to see you out there celebrating a wonderful day for our country.

Other news: NEW MERCH IS ON THE WAY! We have sent orders in this week on some t-shirts and sweet buttons. They should also be ready by the 4th.

This weekend we are traveling to Hickory for a show on Saturday and Johnson City for a rare acoustic set of our material on Sunday! Check our show page for times.

Well a huge shoutout to Fred's Speakeasy for a wonderful show Saturday night! Thanks to everyone that came out for a late night and packed the bar. Mellow Down Easy was great and they are wonderful friends that we will be seeing more of. We missed our Mat Payne; he left for Governor's School on Sunday. We wish him the best of luck and hope that he has a wonderful time. (We have decided to re-arrange everything as a four-piece for the remainder of the summer instead of finding a sit-in for Mat. It'll be a big change and a heavy task for us to do, but we still bring the rock, so don't you worry.)

The next couple of weeks we will be mixing and mastering the new EP and have it ready for you guys by July. It's going to be fantastic. Look out for a new Podcast coming soon as well!

The first gig of the summer is finished! We had a great time last night. It was not a huge crowd, but it was a great crowd--so thanks to all of you who came out! Young and Running and isHesafe both did an excellent job, and we felt very good about our set as well. Thanks for the continued support; we hope to see you again soon!

Wow....what a day. We spent almost 8 hours today at the high school running sets and doing sound checks. It has been very tiring lugging around all our equipment just for this, but it will pay off in the long-run. Things are coming together and this weekend will surely be our best show yet. We have a new set which is a bit more energy-driven, so prepare for a fast-paced show. We are looking forward to playing with our good friends Young&Running and isHesafe. So if you are free or in the area, please come out to a great show for a great cause. We like to rock for a reason.

Hey everyone! The summer of rock has begun and we've been very busy and hard at work! We are finishing up the recording process and we'll start on mixing and mastering the EP very soon. Expect it to be available around July 1st! We are very happy with the new material and we are looking forward to getting it out.

We are also starting to pick up the pace with practices pretty much everyday now. We are happy to inform you that we found a sit in for Payne for all our shows (except June 2nd): Kevin Mills. He's a good and talented guy and we are looking forward to bringing him on board.

Hey everyone. It has been a while since anything has happened and we apologize for the lack of activity. School has a tendency to get in the way of things and keeping you busy. We do have some good and upcoming news for you though. We are currently in the mixing stages of 2 new beautiful songs for your listening pleasure that we recorded over Christmas break. Also, we are working on a new layout for the site. ALSO, we will soon be in the Championship round of the Star 104.3 Battle of the Bands. Well, as you may have heard, the New Years gig was canceled due to rain. A whole lot of rain. We were definitely looking forward to it, but things aren't all bad because we may get the 4th of July instead. Watch for updates here or sign up for the mailing list! Anyway: two big announcements as Christmas break is coming to an end. First, we're doing a show tomorrow (Sat 1/6) at 7pm. Second, we've been doing ridiculous hours of studio time and we've got 3 new songs nearly done. Our new EP will not be released for a while, but we should have some new audio on the website within the next few weeks! Stay posted.

Hey everyone! Things have been going slowly, but progressing. We are currently planning our lineup of shows to begin around Christmas. So be sure you are in Asheville to catch them! So I know we keep throwing dates around...we really had planned to start selling the album last week, but things did not go according to plan. It was a bit of an oversight; we underestimated how long it would take to make all the CDs. The current word is that we'll be ready for sales NEXT weekend (finally)! You all have permission to do a little dance in honor of the occasion. I know we will.

Finally! Things are coming to a close. This past Thursday the mixing was completed two days before the deadline and the results are spectacular. The past couple of days Mat and I tested out the audio and we have a few small things to change, and we have our final listen-though tomorrow with everyone. All that is left is finishing up the packaging material for the album and we should be ready to send it off to CRT in a few days. Its hard to imagine that we started recording this thing almost 4 months ago. Things are going well and in a few weeks we should have the new Betting for Benson album available for sale! Get ready!

I'm glad people like the site! It's good to hear it. Every page has something on it now, so I'd say the site is at least half done. This main page is FINISHED finally, since the Guestbook seems to be working excellently. The Gallery is next on the list to be finished, and probably the "About" page. Thanks for all your support!

Finally. After 3 months and almost a year of planning, tracking for the first B4B album is done! The next three weeks will be spent mixing and mastering the audio, working on this website, and getting the final package ready to be sent off to CRT in Nashville. This week we have been busy getting photoshoots into our schedule. Thanks to Heather Graham for taking the promo shots for us. More to come...
